Biden says he’ll ask Congress for ‘unprecedented support package’ for Israel’s defense

President Joe Biden on Wednesday said he would ask Congress for an “unprecedented support package” for Israel’s defense, as he pledged solidarity with the country as it battles Hamas.

Speaking in Tel Aviv, Biden did not offer details, but said the Iron Dome air-defense system used by Israel would be kept “fully supplied.”
