A trading incident at the London Stock Exchange left all but the most liquid issues halted on Thursday.
The LSE, on the same day it reported third-quarter performance, said all stocks but those listed in the FTSE 100 large-cap index, FTSE 250 mid-cap index, or the international order book were halted.
A spokeswoman wasn’t able to elaborate.
The outage was first identified at 3:26 p.m. local time, so near the end of the U.K. trading day. There won’t be a closing auction of the affected securities, the LSE said.
