Meanwhile, rates for 20- and 30-year terms have stayed as today’s highest rate, with both staying at 6.875%. Additionally, rates for 15-year terms have remained unchanged at 6.25%. Homebuyers looking for the smallest monthly payment should consider either a 20- or 30-year term. Borrowers who would rather maximize their interest savings should instead consider 10-year terms.
